The Old Wheeler Hotel, in Wheeler, Oregon is a nostalgic, cool, quaint hotel built in 1920. It’s a lovely restored historic inn on the Oregon Coast. Right across the street is Nehalem Bay and that in itself is worth the stay for the view! The hotel has just eight rooms but, they are filled with antiques that will astound you. In the 1940’s the hotel was under different ownership. It was actually operating as a facility for the treatment of arthritis. Patients would visit and stay in hotel rooms on the upper floor and receive treatment on the lower floor. In the late 90’s a couple just passing through Wheeler stopped for coffee and ended up buying the hotel and refurbishing it into a charming place to stay. In turn, the hotel was sold again in 2009 and they continued to refurbish this great old hotel. The image has been converted into a digital Impressionist painting.
