Illustrator Artist Bryan Snuffer
Born and raised in Muskegon, Michigan, Bryan still makes his home there with his four children and wife Dawn. Growing up on Lake Michigan has been a blast for sure. Being able to make your way to the shores of one of the largest inland lakes in the world has been a wonderful thing. ‘Working as an artist in this town can be challenging as it seem to far removed from my audience”.

Bryan began his art career when he was a child when his father mentioned to him that thought he was bound to become a commercial artist while watching Bryan draw one day. That seemed to stick. So it was off with the thoughts of becoming an astronaut and on to becoming an artist. It was, however, many years later that that dream would become reality. Only while in his thirties and after having a wife and several children and a home to look after that Bryan decided it was time to start making that become a dream come true. So while armed with several children in tow he began forging a career that has arrived today in full time. Being a full time artist is not all it is cracked up to be. It has been challenging to be home all the time and the winters in Michigan can long lonely and murderous. With the subject matter that he paints in looks forward to a long hot summer for sure.

Bryan had began his career in military art and mainly with the Coast Guard and Air Force. He is, today, branching out in many different areas as a realist. As of late, automotive and motorcycle pieces. Bryan is exclusively an acrylic painter. “If it was not for that medium, I am not sure I would be in it!”

Bryan now paints largely in works for sale and occasionally pieces that are commissioned. President of the Lake Michigan Art Walk, owner of his own business, father of four and husband there is little time for anything else in life.

  1. Bryan is an absolutely amazing artist. These photos are great but the actual paintings are awesome, so much detail. I have had the honor of seeing some on display and he amazes me with the work he does.
