"Afternoon Bliss" acrylics by Peter Van Giesen

Taking a break from whatever becomes routine is vital for me. Time away assists me to regain equilibrium and joyful living. It is so easy to be held sway by things deemed to be of vital importance but are really nothing but distractions. When I get away I smile more, relax and once again notice the small things. I hit the “reset button” and enjoy communing with the natural world that sustains us all. On one particular day I stood on a point of land where I have stood many times before but now saw things I hadn’t taken in previously. I contemplated the infinite interconnectedness before me and yes I entered a state of BLISS which became the working title of this 24×36 acrylic on canvas artwork that depicts Winter Cove in the Gulf Islands National Parks Reserve. Thank you for sharing my journey.
