About the Artist
Chris was born and raised outside of Chicago and on the waters of Lake Michigan. Chris was influenced by his Grandfather Armondo Buzelli at young age, painting side by side in his television repair shop. After graduating from Rhode Island School of Design, Chris moved to New York City and began his career as an illustrator. His paintings have appeared in many publications including Rolling Stone, TIME, Playboy, New York Times, Tor.com and Entertainment Weekly.

Chris has collaborated on many projects for design firms and advertising agencies. Some recent projects include a poster for Macy’s Annual Flower Show, a series of 12 paintings based on green energy fairy tales for Entega – a green energy company in Berlin (DDB), a series of posters for MGM Resorts annual VIVA Festival (R & R Partners), a series of posters for The Tropen Museum in Amsterdam (Saatchi and Saatchi) and an ad campaign for United Airlines (Arc Worldwide).

Chris’ work has been recognized just recently with winning a GOLD award from Society of Illustrators and Spectrum.

He also shows his work in various galleries throughout the US and teaches classes at RISD, SVA and Tutormill.com.

Chris lives with his wife, SooJin, and mini-pinscher, Sota.
