My abstract works are often a seemingly chaotic array of lines, shapes and marks, abstracted directly from the landscape, or deep within my sub-conscious. Marks emanate from a gestural dance between spontaneous interaction, associations and learned behaviours, as I enjoy the physical involvement with the medium and surface. I use my own personal language of repetitive motifs/symbols to narrate stories both ancient and modern, which I invite viewers to read and interpret using their own imaginative references and views on life.
