Recycled Art

Langan sometimes shies away from and dislikes using the terms “green” but none-the-less, it is a term well suited by standards today.  He’s been creating this Art using reclaimed materials before the fashionable buzz words of “green” and “sustainability” became commonplace.  It would be naive for him to claim that he’s making a huge dent in reducing waste material going into landfills but as he states, “It is something rather than nothing.”  His sincere hope that his Art displayed on his website contributes to the recycling movement by inspiring others to ask of themselves, “What can I do to help?” Mark has had a successful campaign marketing and targeting his Art to many diverse venues.  Past clients include; Mars Inc., Kellogg’s, Int’l Paper and unique individuals, such as Hollywood’s David Arquette for whom Mark created a sculpture for his Eco-friendly clothing line ‘PROPR.’ Mark also has art in two Ripley’s museums (San Fran & Atlantic City), and even made a recent book through the publishing company Gesthalten (Germany) titled “Papercraft2.”  His art has been published in periodicals such as the architectural magazine, “Perspective” and is also being featured in the June, 2011 issue of Interior Design Magazine.

  1. You’re very welcome Mark. You received a lot of great comments on line via twitter and facebook concerning your work. I think your art is very unique and high quality using materials that aren’t necessarily considered main stream artistic mediums. I wish you the very best of luck and hope you have a ton of continued success with your art. Cheers! ~ James
