Michal Orlowski (Artist)
Plain Air Watercolors
About the Artist
One of the founders of the Association of Polish Watercolorists.
Participant of International open-air painting in Paris, Prague, Rome, Vienna, Vilnius, Venice, Brittany, Tuscany and Sicily, Istria, and numerous domestic locations.
Most of his trips I had Michal Orlowski brush, pencil and paper block. Visited places, moments lived, felt situations – all this has left its mark on me, and I have shed their emotions on paper. Often these were a direct relationship – to merge with the place, the local perception of smell, the absorption of the atmosphere at a time – painting outdoors. At other times, a part of me – yearning for distant lands – even at home asking yourself the trouble to resurrect some sense, allow to create an image – a personalized memorial.
Fleeting emotions are reflected in the most subtle, delicate and thoroughly honest, sometimes painfully, the art – watercolor. Anyone who ever came in contact with watercolor knows her tenacity, her whims, but it is they who – through spontaneity, freedom and lightness – give this kind of painting the absolute uniqueness.
